The Airforce of Zimbabwe, AFZ invites applications from suitably qualified Zimbabweans wishing to join the nation’s Airforce. Below are the trades available:
Trainee Pilots
- Aged between 18-22 years and single.
- 5 ‘0’ Levels at grade C or better including English and Mathematics.
- Minimum 2 ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics and any other science subject.
- Must be single
Trainee Aircraft Technicians
- Aged between 18-22 years and single.
- 5 ‘0’ Levels at grade C or better including Mathematics, English Language and a Science subject.
- Advanced Level will be an added advantage.
General Fitters
- Aged 30 years and below
- National Certificate or Diploma or HND in Machine Shop Engineering
- Class One journeyman
- Working experience is an added advantage
Spray Painters
- Aged 30 years and below
- Journeyperson Class One
- Working experience is an added advantage
Mechanical Transport Fitters
- Aged 30 years and below
- National Certificate or Diploma in one of the following:
1. Motor Mechanics
2. Diesel Plant Fitter
3. Auto-Electrician
4. Panel Beater
- Class One journeyman
- Working experience is an added advantage
Welders
- Aged 30 years and below
- National Certificate in Fabrication or Welding
- Class One Journeyman
- Working experience is an added advantage
Carpenters
- Aged 30 years and below
- Class One Journeyman
- Working experience is an added advantage
Administration Officers
- Aged 30 years and below
- BSc in Human Resource Management or any other related qualification
- Working experience is an added advantage
Cooks
- Aged 30 years and below
- 5 ‘O’ Level passes with grade C or better including English Language
- Cooking Certificate from a Polytechnic
- Working experience is an added advantage
Admin Clerks
- Aged 30 years and below
- A Certificate in Administration or related qualification.
- A Diploma and working experience is an added advantage.
Drivers
- Aged 30 years and below
- ‘O’ Level passes with grade C or better
- Class 1 and 2 driver’s licence
- Defensive Certificate and working experience will be an added advantage
Plumbers
- Aged 30 years and below
- Artisan Class One
- Working experience is an added advantage
Tilers
- Aged 30 years and below
- Artisan Class One
- Working experience is an added advantage
Electricians
- Aged 30 years and below
- Apprenticeship trained
- Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
- Working experience is an added advantage
Medical Officers
- Aged 35 years and below
- MBChB or its equivalence
- A valid Practising Certificate from the Medical & Dental Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe
- Working experience is an added advantage
Graduate Nurses
- Aged 30 years and below.
- Be a holder of a BSc Nursing Science Degree or its equivalence.
- Be registered with the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe and with a current Practising Certificate.
- Working experience is an added advantage
Health Education and Promotion Officers
- Aged 30 years and below.
- BSc in Health Education Promotion.
- Registered with the Allied Health Professions Council.
- Working experience is an added advantage.
Radiographers
- Aged 30 years and below.
- BSc in Radiography.
- Registered with the Health Professions Council.
- Working experience is an added advantage.
Pharmacy Technicians
- Aged 30 years and below.
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical.
- Current Practising Certificate.
- Working experience is an added advantage.
Environmental Health Officers
- Aged 30 years and below.
- Degree in Environmental Health.
- Current Practising Certificate.
- Working experience is an added advantage.
Dental Therapists
- Aged 30 years and below.
- Diploma in Dental Therapy.
- Current Practising Certificate.
- Working experience is an added advantage.
Nurse Aides
- Aged 30 years and below.
- ‘O’ Level passes grade C or better.
- Red Cross Certificate.
- Working experience is an added advantage.
Lab Scientists
- Aged 30 years and below.
- BSc in Laboratory Science.
- Working experience is an added advantage.
Rehab Technicians
- Aged 30 years and below.
- Diploma in Rehabilitation.
- Working experience is an added advantage.
Registered General Nurses
- Aged 30 years and below.
- Diploma in General Nursing
- Working experience is an added advantage.
Procurement Officers
- Aged 30 years and below.
- Degree in Purchasing and Supply or any other related qualifications.
- Working experience is an added advantage.
Equippers/Procurement Clerks
- Aged between 18 – 22 years.
- 5 ‘O’ Level Subjects including Maths, English Language and Accounts or any commercial subject.
- ‘A’ Level or a Certificate in Purchasing and Supply Management is an added advantage.
Regiment Infantry
- Aged between 18 – 22 years.
- Minimum 5 ‘O’ passes at grade C or better.
- Must be single.
Air Defence Officers
- Aged between 18 – 22 years.
- 5 ‘O’ subjects including Maths, English Language
- 2 ‘A’ Level passes
- Must be single.
Finance Officers
- Aged 30 years and below.
- Must be in possession of an Accounting Degree.
- Working experience is an added advantage.
Financial Clerks
- Aged 30 years and below.
- Must be in possession of an NC in Accounting.
- A Diploma in accounting will be an added advantage.
- Working experience is an added advantage.
Public Relations Officers
- Aged 30 years and below.
- Degree in Media and Communication Studies.
- Working experience is an added advantage.
Public Relations Clerks
- Aged 30 years and below.
- Diploma in Media and Communication Studies/ Journalism/ Media/ Public Relations
- A degree will be an added advantage.
- Working experience is an added advantage.
