The management of Charter Oak State College Admission has released the list of Graduate requirements for admission into the institution.

Charter Oak State College Graduate Admission & Requirements

The requirements for admission as a degree candidate are that the applicant:

  • A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution, or international institution equivalent to a U.S. regionally accredited institution, with a grade point average of 3.0 or better. Students with GPAs between 2.7 and 3.0 may apply. Their acceptance will be based on their essay, professional recommendations, and work experience. If accepted, they need to earn grades of B or better in their first two courses to continue on in the program.
  • One essay, 500 -750 words in length describing the applicant’s:
    • specific career goals and objectives and your motivation to pursue an advanced degree, and
    • professional experience and/or projects
  • A professional resume

Note: Students who provide false information on their application or on their financial aid application or provide false transcripts will not be accepted.  If students, after being accepted, provide false information to the college, they will be dismissed.

The application for admission may be completed online. Upon receipt of the application and non-refundable application fee, the College will issue an email acknowledging the application . Official transcripts from each college/university, at both the undergraduate and graduate level, representing all previous academic work must be requested by the applicant and sent directly to the College.

Once all admissions documents have been received, the applicant’s file will be forwarded to the Graduate Admissions committee for review. The applicant will be notified via email the admissions decision.
