  • Partner with Global Director of Marketing and East Africa Regional Director to set the creative and strategic direction of all East African marketing strategies and be the champion that implements each component along the way
  • Facilitate market research activities that include but are not limited to; focus groups, surveys, stakeholder meetings, phone calls, etc. Better understand who our customers are and what’s shifting for them as they progress along their entrepreneurial journey
  • Develop and grow our local and regional public relations efforts in each East African market we serve, boosting our earned media reach
  • Manage a wide range of marketing project needs in support of the East Africa Regional Director and Global Marketing Director. This could include making phone calls, organizing events, scheduling interviews with entrepreneurs, etc.
  • Lead the local storytelling (photo & video) process. Know what stories need to be told and how to get them told. Manage photo and video shoots as needed
  • Manage a small team of internal co-workers and external creative vendors
  • Lead internal brand-building and communications efforts that onboard new employees, trains staff on important brand tools, and supports the relationship management team with customer interactions
  • Digital marketing management experience is highly preferred. Working in HubSpot and creating automated marketing campaigns will be a part of this job
  • Ensure Sinapis brand standards are being upheld
  • Other related tasks as assigned

  • A culturally aware leader with a pulse on the local and regional (Kenya and Uganda) business and entrepreneurial landscape. You know who’s doing great work, what brands are excelling, and who we should be more connected with
  • You have a desire to use your creative, media, storytelling, and/or journalism experience to impact the world around you and glorify God
  • A creatively minded leader who sees things differently than their team and knows how to translate them into practical communication tools that speak to their customers
  • You have a great education and have excelled in professional environments so far
  • You are a follower of Christ and have a healthy relationship with Him
  • You are humble and have a teachable spirit
  • You are energetic, hardworking, and willing to go the extra mile to complete an assignment


  • A heart for our mission and a passion for alleviating poverty through private sector development
  • Market research and public relations experience
  • Expert knowledge in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; Adobe Creative Suite and HubSpot a plus
  • You love to improve the things around you through creativity and design
  • Working understanding of Facebook, Instagram, Canva, Adobe Spark, and WhatsApp, to name a few
  • Solid understanding of business, entrepreneurship, and missions
  • Experienced in contacting and working with external clients and vendors
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
  • Strong character and integrity
  • Ability to work independently in a small team environment
  • A portfolio demonstrating exceptional and multidisciplinary work


  • Undergraduate degree in marketing, advertising, business management, graphic design, and/or ability to prove experience through your portfolio
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in a senior marketing role at an NGO, creative agency, or SGB that shows your ability to work on a variety of projects
