East Africa University (EAU) (Arabic: جامعة شرق أفريقيا) is a non-for-profit institution university in the autonomous Puntland state in northeastern Somalia, as well as in neighbouring Somaliland.

The East African University Admission Requirements

The East African University Admission Requirements varies depending on the course you want to apply.
Admission Requirements
Admission to undergraduate programmes shall be through:
1.    Direct entry
2.    Diploma entry scheme (from recognized institutions)
3.    Mature entry scheme
Entry Requirements:
Degree: Duration (4 years-8 semesters)
C+ and above at KCSE, Diploma from recognized institutions or professional certificates from examining bodies e.g. KNEC, ACCA, KASNEB, etc.
‘A’Level 2 principal passes and 5 credits at ‘O’ Level or Grade III
Diploma: Duration (18 months-3 semesters)
C-(minus) and above at KCSE, Certificates from recognized institutions or professional certificates from examining bodies e.g. KASNEB, ACCA, KNEC.
‘A’ Level: 1 Principle pass and 5 Credits at ‘O’ Level or Grade III
Certificates: Duration (1 year-2 Semester)
D+ and above at KCSE
Registration Procedures:
i.    All students admitted to The East African University must bring with them: original and copies of letters offering them admission to the University, original and copies of academic certificates, result slips or transcripts.
ii.    Guarantee of sponsorship or financial capacity to meet the University dues.
iii.    Registration forms shall be issued to paid up students.
iv.    Completed registration forms shall be submitted to the Academic Registrar’s office along with the original academic document for verification.
v.    Students are required to register every semester.
vi.    Any student who wishes to be away from the university for more than one week must receive the authority of the senate through the application of leave of absence to the Academic Registrar.
vii.    Any absence from the University involving failure to attend lectures, practicals or tutorials must be reported to the Dean of Students, Dean of Schools, and Head of Departments.
viii.    Once admitted to the University a student can only change his/her registration in the programme course within two weeks of the first semester.
