Descriptions;

Will be in charge of prevention and response to cases of GBV, counselling and case management in the Dadaab refugee host community and the refugee camps.
Establish and revive the host community structures in five (5) wards under Dadaab sub-county and will establish GBV response mechanism that is responsive to the safety and protection of boys, girls, men and women and survivors of gender-based violence.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

Graduate degree in counseling or Psychology, with 2 years’ experience working with children is desirable or a diploma with 3 years of active experience in GBV work.
Good communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English and Kiswahili
Knowledge of community based child protection approaches, preferably including experience in participatory approaches and child participation methodologies.
Ability to use a wide range of child counseling methodologies
Good managerial and IT skills including the use of Word and database software.
Demonstrable ability to adapt to changing programme priorities and emergency priorities that may arise
Strong self-starter, able to take initiative and adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
