JKUAT First-Year Students Notice on Registration – Sept. 2023

The University Council, Management and Staff are pleased to warmly welcome our first-year students 2023/2024 academic year to the JKUAT family. Congratulations and welcome to your University of Choice! You worked hard to competitively secure your admission to JKUAT and we look forward to having you onboard as you pursue all your academic endeavors.

Due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic, we would like to inform you that registration and learning for the first semester will be done online. Below is the information you need to successfully register as a student and access the online learning platform.

REGISTRATION

Registration will be done online beginning 1st September 2023. This will be done through the students portal. You are required to create your student account on the students portal. Click here to create your account.

Prior to registering, You are required to pay your fees into the bank accounts specified below.

EMAIL ACTIVATION

Important communication from the University to the Students is always done through the students’ JKUAT email. All students are required to activate their emails and regularly check their mails for any communication from their Colleges/Schools/Departments.

To access the orientation meeting rooms, students will be required to log in using their JKUAT email accounts.

FEE PAYMENT

All students are required to pay their fees into the following bank accounts. DO NOT PAY THROUGH BANK AGENTS.

ENSURE YOU INDICATE YOUR REGISTRATION NUMBER WHEN PAYING. 

ORIENTATION

All Orientation will be done online.

ONLINE LEARNING

During this first semester, all lectures will be done online. Details of how to register for the lectures will be availed once you complete your registration. The online classes will commence on 8th September 2023. A detailed guide on how to access and use the online learning platform will be uploaded here

LAPTOPS

All students are required to have a laptop/tablet to enable them access the online learning resources. For detailed technical specifications for the devices will be uploaded here in due course.

CHANGE OF COURSE

For those who would like to change course, the process will be online. It WILL BE BASED ON MERIT AND AVAILABILITY OF SPACE IN THE DESIRED COURSE. Details on the same will be availed after registration on 8th September 2023.
