* Advanced Math – Trigonometry, Functions/Trigonometry (FST), Precalculus, or Calculus. Statistics is not considered.

** Marine Systems Engineering requires Calculus.

  • Results of either Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) (MMA Code 3505) or the American College Test (ACT) (MMA Code 1648).
  • GED is accepted but applicant must successfully complete the minimum academic criteria prior to enrollment.
  • *** MMA grants transfer credit through the Advanced Placement (AP) Examination,  College-Level Examination Program (CLEP), and International Baccalaureate (IB). Students must meet the following for possible transfer of IB credit:

1.  Students must have earned the IB Diploma to qualify for consideration of transfer credit,

2.  Only higher level examinations will be considered for transfer credit,

3.  The official IB transcript must be sent directly from the IB Office to Undergraduate Admissions office,

4.  Credit for subjects, completed at the higher level as part of the earned diploma with scores of 5, 6, or 7 will be considered on a case by case basis, with credit awarded at the discretion of the individual department.
