About Namibian College of Open Learning

“NAMCOL is an institution that offers (Open and Distance Learning (ODL) in Namibia and it is in fact taking education to the people. I first started my education at NAMCOL in 2009 doing CED because I found NAMCOL to be affordable and satisfying towards the educational needs of the people.

The Namibian College of Open Learning NAMCOL admission requirement is the first step in your application process. Like other institutions of learning, admission into the Namibian College of Open Learning NAMCOL is subject to meeting the admission requirement for your choice of course.

Admission Requirements for Certificate & Diploma Programmes Namibian College of Open Learning NAMCOL

Certificate 

Passes in all four Core subjects and any two Electives relevant to the course.

Diploma

Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations
Passes in all the core subjects i.e. Core English, Core Mathematics

Admission Requirements for Undergraduate Programmes at Namibian College of Open Learning NAMCOL

Diploma in Education for Development Grade 12 certificate (22 points in 5 modules)
• E symbol in English OR
• NAMCOL or UNISA CED qualification

Diploma in Youth and Community Developments

A Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate Ordinary (NSSCO) level qualification with a minimum of 22 points on the Ministry of Education’s point scale in five subjects as well as an E-symbol in English. OR
• Any other relevant and equivalent qualifications at NQF level 5 and/or prequalifications from a recognised institution of higher learning

NOTE: ONLY applicants who have met the admission requirements shall be considered for admission.

Namibian College of Open Learning NAMCOL Application Steps

Follow the steps below to complete the application process:

Step 1: Obtain the Application Form.

Step 2: Obtain the Brochure, and go through it before completing the application form.

Step 3: Once you are done with STEP 2, fill out the application form and attach relevant documents(s)

Step 4: In this step, you are either to forward the application form back to the institution or if you were on the online application portal, you click on ‘submit application’

Once you have done with the application process, the next step is to wait for the names of selected applicants.
