Descriptions;

JUMIA is an e-commerce startup with an aim to mimic Amazon’s success by delivering a wide range of items, from toys to generators, across the African continent. Shortly after the startup of the business in Nigeria, JUMIA launched warehouses in four other growing countries which include: Egypt, Morocco, Kenya and Cote d’Ivoire.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of native Android applications driving a mobile first company strategy, writing top-notch Kotlin code and resort to battle hardened design patterns
  • Autonomy interpreting business/technical requirements, designing, implementing and testing high-quality solutions
  • Be fully aware of the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
  • Work in a development environment with a modular codebase, peer reviews and pull requests workflow with proper source control process, with disciplined and structured branching model, and documentation
  • Constant aim for quality, scalability, performance, and architecture keeping good practices, security, and compliance in check
  • Be part of a challenging, fast and agile development process
  • Contribute actively and proactively to optimize applications, processes, and methodologies
  • Be willful to help peers, being part of a collaborative environment for development, testing, and automation tasks

Requirements:

  • Experience in developing native Android applications
  • Strong knowledge of Kotlin programming language
  • Knowledge and experience with modern patterns for mobile such as MVP and MVVM
  • Familiar and experienced with Material design, guidelines and components
  • Strong knowledge and experienced with the Android Jetpack, modularization, architecture, components and patterns
  • Familiar with image loading components, Picasso or Glide
  • Knowledge and experience with Room database
  • Experienced with version control, automate development and release process: Git, Jenkins and Fastlane
  • Strong knowledge of Android Studio and Gradle
  • Familiar with memory management, UI layout/rendering and UI/network performance
  • Knowledge and experience with Unit tests and UI tests
  • Experienced and familiar with REST API architecture
  • Familiar with SCRUM methodology
  • Familiar with 3rd Party Tools as, Analytics, Crash Reports and Notifications, A/B Tests and Deep Links

Academic & trades qualifications

  • Academic background in IT or equivalent
  • Knowledge in algorithms and mobile development
  • Proficiency in English
  • 1 to 6 years of experience

Responsibilities:

Operations management;

  • Create KPIs and implement simple systems for evaluating and improving performance
  • Use order life analysis to monitor end-to-end warehouse processes and improve operational efficiency
  • Setup and continuously improve warehouse operations processes
  • Design dashboards to easily identify bottleneck areas of the operational processes
  • Oversee daily reporting on Backlog / Incidents/Change/Problem tickets and SLA status
  • Liaise with the technical teams as well as the local teams on all matters related to warehousing systems
  • Controlling Out-of-Stock (OOS)

Finance, Stock, Fulfilment and Warehouses;

  • Ensure that all financial processes associated with the warehouse for each financial month, quarter and year-end are executed accurately and in a timely manner at the Executive level
  • Ensure all necessary processes are in place to ensure no stock is lost in the warehouse, stock counts are accurate, and any variances are fully investigated.
  • Ensure adequate stock management tools and processes are in place to enable efficient working across Jumia online shops

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors. Degree (Business Administration, Logistics- supply chain, Economics, Engineering)
  • Relevant professional certification in Logistics or supply chain management will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 6 years FMCG, E-Commerce or warehouse management experience
  • Demonstrated competency in data reporting and analysis
  • Experience or high level of comfort in logistics operations
  • Experience of E-commerce fulfillment best practice, with an understanding of customer and seller behavior
  • Self-Driven and great independent follow-through Ability

Responsibilities:

  • Building strong links with C-Levels and account managers of our top brands and vendors. You should justify of a flawless understanding of the entire ecosystem as well as a tremendous network. You will be the only one along with the country managing director & CCO to represent Jumia in front of those key accounts.
  • Driving the growth by ensuring we have the right products at the right prices.
  • Make sure your accounts are matching key operational KPIs (out of stock and time for having the products ready to ship).
  • Ensuring we anticipate sourcing through brand product roadmaps as well as replenishing fast enough missing strategic assortment.
  • On-boarding 100% of your account’s products available
  • Organizing key commercial events such as Black Friday, Jumia Anniversary, etc.
  • Building a business plan for your category (ies) to ensure we grow them in a structured way. Those BP will be presented to Jumia local CEO & CCO as well as Jumia Group CCO

Qualifications:

  • Good with tools (excel & PPT, Salesforce.com would be a plus)
  • Resistant to stress
  • Strong interpersonal skills: Convince the people and your team that you are making the right decisions
  • Great ability to work in a fast-paced and competitive environment
  • Flawless English communication
  • Experience over 4 years either in FMCG, tier 1 retail groups, top banking & consulting companies
  • Top Engineering, Business Schools & Universities (top 5 of your field for your country).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and google tools.
  • Familiar with relationship management tools.

  • Brief the team about the wording, Q&A, talking points and prepare a public presentation.

  • Social Media & Influencers Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Content strategy – based on Jumia’s brand and target customers, ensure that the content approach wins brand love and drives a purchase decision. Seamlessly combining promotion, engagement, and conversion.
  • Influencer management – based on the objectives, identify the right influencers to work with, build relationships, negotiate rates, outline clear objectives and ensure relevant agreements are in place.
  • Campaign management – design, create and manage promotions and social media calendar throughout the year. Integrated with Jumia’s overall marketing campaign and channels.
  • Market research & trend analysis – keep up with the latest trends on social media and within the influencer community. This will include trending products, topics, challenges, reposts, videos, etc. Incorporating relevant insights into Jumia’s strategy.
  • Campaign analysis -during and after campaigns, analyze performance against Jumia’s objectives and goals. Identify successes and areas of improvement.
  • Presentation & people skills – regularly prepare and present campaign ideas and performance. Effectively communicate- verbal and written format. Build and maintain relationships – internally and externally.

Qualifications;

  • Passion and understanding of social media platforms and how each can be deployed in different scenarios.
  • Previous experience with social media and influencers’ management (e.g. working in an agency) a plus.
  • Ability to learn fast.
