Below are the requirements for admission into Texila American University, TUA Zambia
General Entry Requirements for Undergraduate Degree Courses
- Candidate must possess the required or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution or institutions recognized by the Ministry of Education/Government.
- Candidates are requested to read and understand the eligibility for each program mentioned in the Prospectus.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Eligibility:
- Grade Twelve School Certificate or GCE with 5 credits or better, four of which must be English Language, Mathematics, Biology, and Science
Eligibility:
- A Level with a pass in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Eligibility:
- Diploma in Nursing(3 Years) + Registered Nurse Licensure
Health Professionals Foundation Program
Eligibility:
- Grade Twelve School Certificate or GCE with 5 credits or better, four of which must be English Language, Mathematics, Biology, and Science.
Bachelors of Information Technology (BIT)
Eligibility:
- English: Credit or better
- Mathematics: Merit or better
- Biology: Credit or better
- Chemistry: Credit or better
- Physics: Credit or better
Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
- Eligibility: Grade 12 with Pass in Minimum 5 Subjects
- Eligibility: Pre-University or 3 Yrs Diploma with relevant stream/specialization from a recognized University
Bachelor of Pharmacy
- Eligibility: Grade Twelve School Certificate or GCE with 5 credits or better, four of which must be English Language, Mathematics, Biology, and Science
- Eligibility: A Level with a pass in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery
- 6 years: O/A Level with a minimum of C grade or better in Biology, Physics, Chemistry English & Mathematics. Age must be below 30 yrs
- 5 years: ‘A’ Level in Cambridge International School or Diploma in Health Science / Bachelor of Science
Bachelor of Education
- 4 years for ‘O’ level or Pre-University with relevant stream
- 2 years for Diploma holders in relevant stream
Bachelor of Information Technology
- 4 years for ‘O’ level or Pre-University with relevant stream
- 2 years for Diploma holders in relevant stream
POSTGRADUATE ENTRY REQUIREMENT
Entry requirements for a Postgraduate degree Programme
A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited University in a subject or subjects relevant to the course applied for.
Duration of Programme: 1 Academic Year
Entry requirements for a Masters Degree Programme
A Bachelors’s degree or postgraduate diploma from an accredited University in a subject or subjects relevant to the course applied for.
Duration of Programme: 2 Academic Years
Entry requirements for a DBA or Ph.D. degree programme
Applicants must be holders of a Master’s degree or any other related programs from a recognized University. Practitioner Experience: Applicants must have management experience of at least three years pre – or – post Masters.
