  • Janitor – Dar es Salaam
Responsibilities:
  • Thoroughly cleans the RSC offices, bathrooms, kitchens and walkways as assigned.
  • Observes the office environment, ensures that the fire exits are always kept clear and promptly report any potentially hazardous situations such as slippery floors, loose electric
    wires or sockets.
  • Ensures that all the office windows and various interior and exterior doors and grills are
    closed and securely locked at the end of every business day. (Note: the final responsibility for office locking rests with the management staff locking up on any particular day).
  • Ensures that all photocopiers and printers have been checked for documents and switched off at the end of every business day. Any document found should be turned over to the management staff locking up on any particular day.
  • Ensures that non-essential equipment is switched off and only the minimum equipment
    required is switched on.
  • Reports any equipment that sounds or appears broken or in need of repair, including door and window locks that need lubrication, tightening or replacement, leaky water taps etc.

  • Administrative Assistant – Dar es Salaam
Responsibilities:
  • Assists in preparing for high-level meetings e.g. PRM Partner’s meetings. This includes organizing visitor’s
    snacks/lunches as requested, and preparing materials and/or reports needed (if any).
  • Liaises with the Property Unit to ensure drivers are on stand-by to pick or drop visitors, staff, and/or equipment/supplies to various destinations as required.
  • Assists the Finance and Administration Office in managing the Resource Centre ensuring that resources borrowed are returned on time Schedules meetings (including virtual meetings) and meeting rooms as required on the Outlook Calendars.
  • Works with the Receptionist to order and take stock of office supplies ensuring that there is always enough supply for refugee applicants and the smooth operation of the front office.
  • Continuously works on finding ways to improve administrative processes.
  • Maintains Office Management procedures including contact information, directions, and frequently requested organization information.

  • Administrative Assistant – Kasulu
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to CWS RSC Africa policies and procedures.
  • Assists in administrative duties and HR duties as required by the HR management including supporting recruitment drives.
  • Receives and distributes monthly telecommunication Invoices to the staff who have exceeded their limits.
  • Completes quality checks for logistics and communications suppliers on behalf of the Procurement Unit for payment processing by the Accounts department.
  • Completes Travel Expense Reports for Senior Management Team on completion of an official trip.

  • Human Resource Officer – Kasulu
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, update and ensure effective implementation of new hire’s onboarding and training programs.
  • Conduct new hire onboarding ensuring the new hires have understood the policies and procedures, sign-offs and other onboarding materials.
  • Conduct quality check before a new employee reports working by verifying the Certificate of Good Conduct/Police Clearance Certificate/MIE and conduct background checks and Hire rights for international staff.
  • Create, arrange and maintain recruitment records per CWS Africa policy
  • Create and maintain physical personnel files for TZ-Sub Office staff and file any relevant documentation
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of employee data regarding initial hire, transfers, promotion and terminations, onto the established Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), and ensure the same is captured in the payroll system.
  • Work with HR Assistant to ensure staff list (for CWS Africa staff) is up to date when there have been staff changes (new hires, promotions, deletions, etc. and save the same on the file server by end of every month.
  • Ensure statutory documents are provided and relevant forms filled by the new hire.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human resource management or related field
  • Higher Diploma in Human Resource is strongly preferred.
  • Eight (8) years of paid work experience required.
  • Two (2) years’ work experience in an HR position in a busy HR office is required.
  • One (1) year experience managing medical and other staff insurance covers preferred.
  • One (1) year managing recruitment both nationally and internationally preferred.
  • Previous experience working with an International NGO is strongly desired.
  • A member of the Human Resource Management association or related preferred.
