Description:

Responsibilities:

• Managing the tracking of licenses and ensuring 100% validity at all times.
• Responsible for managing and ensuring 100% accuracy of license records.
• Ongoing monitoring of expenditure on tenements, ensuring It meets JV and government requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate renewal and re-application of licenses.
• Preparation of GIS maps and database for licensing as per the company’s Standard Operating Procedures.
• Coordinate the provision of general GIS and mapping support.
• Preparation of weekly and monthly tenement reports as per the Shanta Mining Company Limited standard.
• To manage relevant legislation and departmental processes.
• Identify/monitor on a quarterly basis the licenses/tenements which are In ‘Critical Periods’ l.e the licenses which will be expiring (second renewal) in less than A) 12-months’ time and B) 24-month time and assist an Exploration Department with the strategy for these assets.

Qualification:

• Relevant educational qualification from recognized Institution preferably Geology or Mine Engineering.
• Experience at least 3-5 years experience In tenement management.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of Mining Act 2010 and Its regulations.
• GIS and database skills.
• Computer literacy, proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite.
