Description:
The Tanzania Railways Corporation is a state-owned enterprise that runs one of Tanzania’s two main railway networks. When the East African Railways and Harbours Corporation was dissolved in 1977 and its assets divided between Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, TRC was formed to take over its operations in Tanzania.
Responsibilities:
- To maintain rolling stocks.
- To prepare and align parts for welding.
- To join together components, repair holes and cut through materials.
- To perform any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
Form four Certificate with one of the following qualifications; Trade Test II/Level II, National Vocational Award II (NVA II) or NTA Level 4 in Mechanical Technology (Welding) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
