The National Institute of Transport (NIT) is a public higher learning institution located west of Dar-es-Salaam City, along Mabibo Road in Ubungo Light Industrial area; just about one kilometer off the Morogoro Road. NIT was established in 1975 as a training wing of the then National Transport Corporation (NTC).
Responsibilities:
- To teach up to Bachelor’s Degree (NTA Level 8 or equivalent).
- To prepare learning resources for tutorial exercises.
- To conduct research, seminars, and case studies.
- To carry out consultancy and community services.
- To supervise students’ projects.
- To prepare a teaching manual.
- To perform any other duties assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in any of the following specializations, Logistics and Transport Management, International Transport and Logistics Management, International Logistics and Transport Management, Road Transport Management, Road and Rail Transport Management, Rail Transport Management, Maritime Logistics and Shipping Management, Air Transport Management or Rural and Urban Transport Management.
- Also should have a GPA of not less than 3.5 for a Bachelor’s degree and 3.8 or above at the Master’s degree level.
