Established in 1977, Kilimanjaro International Leather Industries Co. Ltd is a renowned manufacturer of a broad range of leather products such as leather footwear, leather bags, and so on.
- Head of Procurement & Supplies
Responsibilities:
- Heads the Procurement and Supplies Unit, coordinates day-to-day procurement operations.
- Provides high-level technical and administrative guidance on matters related to Procurement and Supplies.
- Manage and review documents for procurement of all supplies, equipment and services for the company and ensures compliance with Procurement policies procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings; Provides procurement research, guidance and direction by presenting available procurement options.
- Develop and implement purchase and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Prepares and implements CLICL’s Annual Procurement Plan.
- Serves as Secretary to KLICL’s Tender Board, implements Tender Board’s decisions
- Prepares Tender Board minutes and maintains all procurement records, disposal
and related activities. - Custodian of procurement documents; responsible for ensuring that records are maintained and the entire procurement process is documented from the beginning to the end.
Qualifications:
- Holder of Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Management or Procurement and Supplies Management, or Supply Chain Management from a recognized Higher Learning Institution.
- The candidate must be registered by the Procurement and Supplies Professional and Technician Board (PSPTB).
- A holder of CPSP with at least 5 years of works experience in a similar/related position.
- Demonstrates strong leadership and managerial competencies, including integrity, accountability, communication skills, computer skills, commitment to teamwork, and excellence in selecting, mentoring, coaching, supervising, motivating, and training procurement staff.
