Overview
The National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) is a corporate body established by the National Council for Technical Education Act, 1997 (Act No. 9 of 1997). The Act provides a legal framework for the Council to coordinate the provision of technical education and training and establish an efficient national qualifications system that will ensure that products from technical institutions are of high quality and respond to changing needs as well as technological innovations in the world.
Technical education in this context is defined as “education and training undertaken by students to equip them to play roles requiring higher levels of skills, knowledge, and understanding and in which they take responsibility for their areas of specialization”. NACTE is thus, a multidisciplinary and multi-sectoral body empowered to oversee and coordinate the provision of technical education and training in Tanzania.
NACTE Academic Transcript states your name, the institution you studied at, and a list of all courses taken, all grades received and degrees conferred. It should provide full details of the degree class and grades you received in each unit or module.
Who Is Eligible to Get Transcript
- Health Allied Science,
- Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education,
- Livestock: (Animal Health Productions, Veterinary Laboratory Technology, Vector Control, Range Management, and, Tsetse Control)
For those wishing to collect their Transcripts at NACTE Headquarters, the fee is Tshs 10,000/= and for those wishing to collect at the Zone Offices the fee is 15,000/=
Other Important Information:
- Make sure you have a recent colored passport size ( 35mm x 45mm ) with a white blue/sky blue background.
- Once come to collect, come with IDS (driving license, national ID, or Vote cards) or other certificates.
- Keep checking for the status once the request is successfully submitted. You will be notified through your profile or e-mail/Mobile phone.

- Enter Registration Number and Verification Code on the page
