Ocean Road Cancer Institute (ORCI) is the only comprehensive specialized facility for cancer care in Tanzania. The Institute was established in June 1996 by Act number 2 of the Parliament and is an independent semi-autonomous institute directly under the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children.

Responsibilities:
- To assist in developing a treatment plan for patients.
- To assist in the calculation of dosage to be delivered by radiotherapy equipment.
- To assist in carrying out patient chart checks and dose verification.
- To support to the development and oversee implementation of quality assurance procedures and programs for therapy and related equipment.
- To assist to conduct moulid room activities including fabrication of shielding blocks and fixations.
- To perform other duties as may be assigned by his/her superior.
Qualifications;

- Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields: Physics, Physics, and Mathematics, Education majoring in physics and Mathematics or any equivalent qualifications from any recognized Institution.
