Mount Meru University Admission Requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate admissions has been released.
Mount Meru University (MMU) has released the admission requirements for undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes. Prospective students should endeavor to check the entry requirements before applying for admission. Interested candidates can access the Mount Meru University programmes before proceeding to apply.
Mount Meru University Admission Requirements
Admission requirements vary slightly according to the program the applicant is seeking admission for and/or individual circumstances. The school or department in which the applicant wishes to register may prescribe certain additional course requirements if the student is deemed to be deficient.
Below are the admission requirements based on programmes:
Mount Meru University Diploma Admission Requirements
Direct Entry:
At least Two principle passes at the ‘A’ level secondary school education examination with a total of not less than 2.5 points whereby, A=5, B+ =4,
B=3 C=2, D=1, E=0.5, and F=0. The university’s medium of instruction is English. Therefore, a student must pass MMU Basic English Test
during orientation.Those who will not reach the pass mark will be required to take Basic English course offered in the Department of Languages
in the Faculty of Education.An applicant is required to follow admission procedures laid by Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) and
National Council for Technical Education (NACTE).
Equivalent Entry:
A relevant accredited diploma of not less than second class, or credit or average of “B”grade or the RPL from TCU/NACTE
recognized institutions/Centers.
Mount Meru University Certificate Admission Requirements
At least Five passes (maximum 34 points) in appropriate subject at the ‘O’ level secondary school education examination,
whereby, A=1, B+ =2, B=3, C=4, D=5, E=6 and F=7:

Mount Meru University Postgraduate Admission Requirements
DIRECTORATE OF POSTGRADUATE STUDIES:
1.Master of Arts is Community Development (MACD):
2.Master of Business Administration (MBA):
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
1. A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of second class lower division from an accredited university or college, or
2. An advanced or higher diploma with a minimum of second class lower division from an accredited institute or college of higher learning, or
3. An unclassified degree provided the total GPA is not less than 3.0 on a 5.0 scale, or 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, or:
4. Any other education that is equivalent to an undergraduate degree, and
5. Satisfactory results of MMU Entrance Examination together with a 1,000 words essay on the topic of why the candidate is applying for admission
into the MACD or MBA programs.
