Descriptions;
The Ministry of Finance and Planning(MoFP) of the United Republic of Tanzania has received financing from KfW Development Bank (“KfW”) in the form of a financial contribution toward the costs of the project “Sustainable Development of Protected Area Ecosystems (Component 2)”. Project Executing Agency (PEA) will be the Tanzanian National Parks which is under Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism(MNRT).
Qualifications:
The applicant needs to be registered with the relevant national engineering body.
Education:
Postgraduate degree in geotechnical engineering or structural engineering with specialization on geotechnical investigation, water engineering, dam engineering and foundation design
Sectoral experience:
- Over 10 years of professional experience in planning and execution of geotechnical investigation, laboratory testing, dams and foundations experience in planning and construction of water resource management infrastructure (dams, irrigation and wa-ter supply)
- Professional experience with construction work in rural areas
- Familiarity with geotechnical investigation programs, laboratories, norms and standards in the construction sector in Tanzania
- Experience with procurement (tendering) for related measures (preparation of Bills of Quantities, etc.)
Donor experience:
- Experience with donor-funded projects
