Description;
BESIX Ballast Nedam (BBN) Limited, the CONTRACTOR for the Engineering, procurement and Construction of the Jetty and Load Out Facilities in the Tanga Bay for the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) Project, invites application for NDT Level II Operator.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform non-destructive testing inspections according to established procedures, specifications, and industry standards.
- Utilize Ultrasonic Testing (UT) techniques to detect and evaluate surface and subsurface defects.
- Conduct Magnetic Testing (MT) to identify cracks, discontinuities, and other flaws in ferromagnetic materials.
- Apply Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) methods to assess the condition of welded components and structural elements.
- Utilize Radiographic Testing (RT) techniques to inspect materials for internal defects using X-ray or gamma-ray equipment.
- Conduct Penetrant Testing (PT) to identify surface-breaking defects in various materials.
- Interpret test results and provide accurate and detailed reports on findings.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with clients and colleagues to address any questions or concerns related to the inspection process.
- Calibrate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Stay updated on the latest NDT techniques, industry trends, and regulations.
Job Qualification, Experience and Skills
Applicants should demonstrate the following:
- Tanzanian citizenship
- Valid certification in NDT Level II (ISO 9712) or equivalent for Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Testing (MT), Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT), Radiographic Testing (RT), and Penetrant Testing (PT).
- Proficient in performing NDT inspections and interpreting test results.
- Strong knowledge of NDT techniques, equipment, and industry standards.
- Experience working with a variety of materials and components.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and document defects accurately.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and adhering to all relevant safety guidelines.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
- Minimum of [8 years] of relevant experience in NDT inspections.
