NORPLAN Tanzania Ltd (NORPLAN) is a multidisciplinary firm of Consulting Engineers registered with Engineers Registration Board as a Local Consulting Company under Registration Number LCF 092. NORPLAN is a member of Association of Consulting Engineers Tanzania (ACET).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily management of the PipeTrak Subcontractor and the contractor is required to ensure all data is captured during the installation of the pipeline, and the various subsequent activities.
- Shall be responsible for management of the execution during system configuration, user acceptance testing until the system goes “live” as well as arranging training sessions between the PipeTrak Subcontractor and the System users.
- Following the system going “live” to oversee the system performance and resolve any problems with the system in conjunction with the PipeTrak Subcontractor.
- Periodic audits and verification, including training permitting usage and implementation of the system throughout the pipeline construction activities shall be required.
- Assuming responsibility for all data input to PipeTrak across the project, including material tracking data and Construction data from the field.
- Implement methods to improve data reliability and quality by coordinating with multiple stakeholders and users of the system.
- Ensure that stakeholders are trained in the use of the system and that they understand the system configuration and functionality to input data correctly.
- Ensure that all recorded data meets the required specification with an emphasis on quality, consistency, and completeness.
- Required to manage other Data coordinators and/or junior Data coordinators.
Suitability
The role would ideally suit someone with pipeline construction experience, and it is essential that the candidate has experience managing large scale hosted data management systems.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Demonstrable experience working with QA/QC systems and processes.
- Experienced in Information Management Systems, Engineering work processes, Project Management, or related field.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in the English language
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Team-working skills
- Excellent understanding of Oil and Gas Project information, and document management processes.
- Knowledge of Pipeline construction and the sequence of activities required during pipeline construction projects
- Knowledge of International Data Standards such as CFIHOS, ISO 15926 and Pipeline Open Data standards.
- Adept at writing queries, writing reports, and making presentations
- Proven working experience in data analysis
- Minimum of 10 years Lifecycle Information Management and Data Management experiences, specifically in Oil & Gas, preferably within large engineering contractor organizations or equivalent Construction Contractor.
- Solid hands-on knowledge of engineering data warehousing, reporting and analytical tools.
- Continuous reporting on the status of information input meeting construction progress, via a cloud-based system and process.
