Description:

Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe workplace for all employees, contractors and visitors by maintaining compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations, policies & procedures.
- Contribute to Identify Safety risks, resolving and escalating emerging issues that influence areas of accountability.
- Maintain and develop processes to provide a safe workplace by supporting the internal safety programs.
- Download and compile CCTV footage for internal and external stakeholders as directed by the Project Manager or his designate.
- Screen CCTV footage recordings for safety breaches and unlawful acts.
- Checking surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts.
- Attend and pro-actively deal with any security incident, as directed by the Project Manager.
- Records all incidents in the appropriate format and writes concise and accurate incident reports as necessary.
- Develop and implement security procedures to ensure the protection of company assets.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with diverse parties and maintain confidentiality.
- To perform any other duty as may be assigned by the Project Manager or his designate.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position.
Advanced Secondary Education/Diploma or above.
Relevant tertiary qualification in Security or risk management is a plus. - Proven work experience as a Safety & Security Surveillance Officer or similar role.
- Industrial safety officer experience.
- Underground mining knowledge.
- Demonstrate high level of integrity.
- Be able to work under minimum supervision.
- Highly motivated and willing to attend work on call-out duties when required.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines and in a multicultural environment.
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
Tech-sway with experience in surveillance systems.
Report writing skills. - Well-developed analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Valid Driver’s License.
