SJUT Admission Requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate admissions has been released.
The St. John’s University of Tanzania (SJUT) has released the admission requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Prospective students should endeavor to check the entry requirements before applying for admission. Interested candidates can access the St. John’s University of Tanzania programmes before proceeding to apply.
St. John’s University of Tanzania Admission Requirements
Admission requirements vary slightly according to the program the applicant is seeking admission for and/or individual circumstances. The school or department in which the applicant wishes to register may prescribe certain additional course requirements if the student is deemed to be deficient.
Below are the admission requirements based on programmes:
- Undergraduate Programmes
The Commission has decided to raise the threshold for the minimum entry points for admission to university education. Thus from the 2016/2017 academic year, the new Minimum Admission Entry Qualifications for Undergraduate Students shall now be as follows:

2. Postgraduate Programmes
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS FOR MASTER PROGRAMMES
A candidate for admission into the Master’s degree shall hold at least a second class bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution of higher learning.
A candidate with a PASS degree or advanced diploma will also be considered upon producing evidence of having obtained an examined postgraduate diploma or professional qualification (in a relevant field of study).
A candidate who holds an unclassified or foreign degree (degree obtained outside Tanzania) should have an average credit of B or above and have it certified/validated by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).
