• Emergency Nurse

• Appropriately triage patients and initiate orders from approved protocols.
• Manages mechanically ventilated patients.
• Conduct safe and therapeutic care of the patient with epicardial and transvenous pacing.
• Safely participates in the resuscitation of a patient during a code blue and rapid response situation.
• Manages critically ill patients during and after procedures where moderate sedation is needed.
• Transduce pressure lines (Arterial, CVP and PA catheters) and evaluate hemodynamic parameters.
• Cares for patients with an elevated ICP and manages ventriculostomy drains with ICP monitoring.
• Manages patient on Patient-Controlled Analgesia.
• Manages patient on ETCO2.

Qualifications;

• Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of current, full, active, and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement of graduation from an approved school of professional nursing.
• Valid nursing license, BLS, and ACLS.
• 3 years experience in an emergency medical facility.
• Strong ability to work well on a team.
• Exceptional communication skills.

• Medical Doctor

• Engage in direct clinical practice as the principal component of his/her professional responsibility within the Department.
• Provide medical assessment, diagnostic determination, and clinical management necessary to ensure appropriate clinical disposition of Emergency Department patients.
• Accurate and timely completion of all clinical and professional records and documentation to assure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory, licensure, and accreditation requirements.
• Communicate with consulting providers as necessary to facilitate necessary ongoing care and treatment of patients.
• Work to create a positive work culture within department and cross-departmental teams.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Qualifications;

• Work requires an MD, and BLS, ACLS, and ITLS training.
• Minimum of 3 years experience working in the emergency department in a well-recognized facility.

• Emergency Physician 

• Engage in direct clinical practice as the principal component of his/her professional responsibility within the Department.
• Provide medical assessment, diagnostic determination, and clinical management necessary to ensure appropriate clinical disposition of Emergency Department patients.
• Accurate and timely completion of all clinical and professional records and documentation to assure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory, licensure, and accreditation requirements.
• Communicate with consulting providers as necessary to facilitate necessary ongoing care and treatment of patients.
• Work to create a positive work culture within department and cross-departmental teams.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Qualifications;

• Work requires an MD, and masters in emergency medicine
• BLS, ACLS, ITLS courses will add advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years experience working as an emergency physician in a well-recognized facility.

• Anesthetist

• Demonstrate TMHS values and Service Pride Standards through actions.
• Perform thorough and complete pre-anesthesia assessments and develops appropriate anesthesia plans.
• Administer anesthesia in accordance with clinical privileges, including induction, maintenance and emergence.
• Select, obtain and administer anesthetics, adjuvant drugs, accessory drugs and fluids necessary to manage the anesthetic, to maintain the patient`s physiologic homeostasis, and to correct abnormal responses to the anesthesia or surgery
• Monitor, interpret and evaluate ongoing data as appropriate for the type of anesthetic and specific patient needs.
• Provide expertise in airway management both in and out of the surgical suite
• Place and maintain epidural catheters as adjuncts to anesthesia.
• Place and monitor arterial and central venous catheters including pulmonary artery catheters.
• Document pertinent information on the patient`s medical record.
• Respond to emergency situations by providing airway management, administration of emergency fluids or drugs, or using basic or advanced cardiac life support techniques. 11. Act as investigators, collaborators, consultants, or assistants on research projects as needed.
• May provide clinical and didactic instruction to helping staff available with an emphasis on the patient on-site or hospital,
• May serve on a variety of institutional committees and participate as instructors in staff development and continuing education programs for both professional and non-professional staff members.
• Other duties as directed by the Head of the medical department.

Qualifications;

• Advanced diploma in anesthesia or above.
• Minimum of one year experience in preferred will count residency experience.
