Bachelor Degrees Admission Requirements

The general admission requirements for entry to Unicaf University Bachelor degree programmes are as outlined below. Variances may be observed based on the local education regulatory requirements relating to the country in which each campus of Unicaf University operates.  Students are advised to contact the Office of Admissions to find out more about the range of international academic qualifications accepted.

  • Admission to a Bachelor degree programme requires a Senior School Leaving Certificate with an aggregate score of “60” or “C” or “Credit”, or international equivalent
  • Applicants with a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a relevant area may be considered for credit transfer
  • Recognized proof of English proficiency
  • Current CV
  • Copy of valid passport or national ID

In addition to a strong academic record, extra-curricular activities, leadership skills and other relevant background information may be taken into account.

Master’s Degrees Admission Requirements

The general admission requirements for entry to Unicaf University Master’s degree programmes are as outlined below. Variances may be observed based on the local education regulatory requirements relating to the country in which each campus of Unicaf University operates.  Students are advised to contact the Office of Admissions to find out more about the range of international academic qualifications accepted.

  • Admission to a Master’s degree programme requires an accredited Bachelor degree or international equivalent. Related professional qualifications at the appropriate level will also be considered for entry
  • Students with an accredited Master’s degree will also be considered for entry
  • Recognized proof of English proficiency if the Bachelor degree was not taught in the English language
  • A Personal Statement or Statement of Purpose (minimum 500 words)
  • Current CV
  • One official letter of recommendation (either academic or professional)
  • Copy of valid passport or national ID

In addition to a strong academic record, extra-curricular activities, leadership skills and other relevant background information are taken into account.

Doctorate Degrees Admission Requirements

Applications for doctorate study are accepted all year round.  Students may submit their application by using the Unicaf University online application form and paying the application fee.

The entry requirements for admission to a Doctorate degree programme include:

  • An accredited Master’s degree in a relevant subject area. Students may be considered for doctorate study if their degree is in an unrelated field provided, they have relevant professional experience and can prove their ability to work at the doctorate level. A wide range of international qualifications may also be considered. Students are advised to contact the Office of Admissions to find out more about the range of international academic qualifications accepted.
  • Official Master’s degree transcripts
  • Recognized proof of English proficiency if previous studies were not taught in the English language. Otherwise, an IELTS score 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.5 in the writing component and no individual component lower than 6.0) is required; or an English Placement Test result with a 6.5 equivalence (provided no score in each individual component is less than 6.0).
  • Personal Statement of Statement of Purpose (minimum 500 words)
  • Current CV
  • Two official letters of recommendation (either academic or professional)
  • Research proposal or project outline
  • Evidence of the ability to undertake independent research
