Voltalia is an international player in the renewable energy sector. The Group produces and sells electricity generated from wind, solar, hydraulic, biomass, and storage facilities that it owns and operates. Voltalia is also a service provider and supports its investor clients in renewable energy projects during all phases, from design to operation and maintenance.
- Project Manager
Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate new projects and opportunities for renewable.
- Contacting potential clients, setting up Business meetings.
- Develop and implement a midterm business development/sales plan to feed the growth of the Kenyan pipeline of renewable energy projects for Corporate Clients.
- Hands-on Business profitability and investment proposals.
- Develop and secure the pipeline of Corporate clients.
- Interact and engage with potential clients, local and regional authorities, national and regional business associations and international business clubs.
- Gain detailed insight of competitive environment;
- Negotiate and secure business opportunities meeting the company’s objectives, investment guidelines and budget.
- Work with the internal and external teams in all the technical, legal and commercial activities necessary for the success of the projects namely Due Diligences, negotiations, technical development, company presentation, etc.
Qualifications;
- Management and Business school or Engineer’s degree
- 5 years min of experience in the energy area, in the electricity field, in Kenya.
- Master of Business Administration would be a plus.
- Renewable Energy experience is recommended.
- Proof track record in the development, sale or management of Energy (electricity field) projects for large corporate clients.
- Business Development and Sales experience with a strong network of contacts with large energy consumers.
- Development Manager
Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate new projects and opportunities for renewable.
- Contacting potential clients, setting up Business meetings.

- Spearhead the project development team to identify, develop and evaluate new projects.
- Manage the development team, overseas development activity and manage the sales leads to achieve the objectives, execute the strategy, address the priorities, and comply with the budget agreed with the Head of Europe & Africa Affiliates and the Country Manager of the Territory, to transpose those objectives and priorities into detailed operational and/or action plans for each member of the development team.
- Manage the project development team to ensure we have the necessary people, processes and systems in place, that all employees are aware of and aligned with the objectives and priorities for the development of Voltalia’s Business in Kenya.
- Determine strategic key target sectors, present Voltalia.
- Identify, lead and manage local authorities within governorates where projects are forecasted, which includes establishing direct communication with local mayors and administration officials to secure lands for future renewable projects.
Qualifications;
- Management and Business school or Engineer’s degree.
