The Lusaka Apex Medical University LAMU Admission Requirements 2023/2024…… The Undergraduate, Masters & Doctorate Programmes Entry Requirements has been released for the 2023/2024 academic session.

For admission into Undergraduates, Postgraduates, Diploma, and Masters programs at the Lusaka Apex Medical University LAMU for any first degree or second degree, an applicant must have the following requirements for successful admission.

These admission requirements are for various programs offered at the institution, it serves as a guide in the application process. All interested applicants are to read through carefully making sure that they fulfill the requirements before putting in an application.

Entry Requirements for Undergraduate Degree Courses

Pre – Medical Foundation Programme

• GCE ‘O’ Level Credits or equivalent in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and English Language.

Medicine and Surgery (MB ChB).

• ‘A’ Levels or equivalent in the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Physics.
• Credit transfer from recognized Universities (transcript in natural science subjects is required).
• A degree in Health-related or Biological Sciences.

Health Sciences Programmes (BPharm, BSc Rad, BSc Physio)

• ‘A’ levels in Biology, Chemistry & Mathematics and Physics;
  Credit Transfer from recognized university; transcript in relevant subjects of study required;
• Diploma in relevant programme;
• BSc. in Health-related Sciences.

Nursing Programme.

• In-Service: Advanced Diplomas, Nursing Diplomas, Midwifery, Direct Entry: Five Credits in English, any Science, Maths and any two other subjects.

Environmental Health Sciences.

• In-service: Diploma in Public/Envir Health plus post-basic diploma.
• Direct Entry: After completion of Pre – Medical Program (see above).
• Completion of second year in Natural Sciences at UNZA with a pass.

Nursing Diploma Courses

• Five O-Level credits in English, any Science, Maths and any two other subjects.

Entry requirements for a Postgraduate degree Programme

A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited University in a subject or subjects relevant to the course applied for.

Duration of Programme: 1 Academic Year

Entry requirements for a Masters Degree Programme

A Bachelors’ degree or postgraduate diploma from an accredited University in a subject or subjects relevant to the course applied for.

Duration of Programme: 2 Academic Years

Entry requirements for a DBA or PhD degree programme

Applicants must be holders of Master’s degree or any other related programs from a recognized University. Practitioner Experience: Applicants must have management experience of at least three years pre – or – post Masters.
