Maluti TVET College Admission Requirements.

To be eligible for admission to degree study, applicants need to meet minimum requirements for eligibility:

INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY AND COMPUTER SCIENCE NQF LEVEL 2 – 4
  • A year end school report for Grade 9 or Higher
  • NQF Level 1 Qualification (STD 7/Form 2/ABET 4)
  • Preference will be given to Grade 11 & 12 learners
  • Placement test is compulsory to enable the College to refer a leaner to a suitable programme
  • Grade 9 or higher with pass% Mathematics (Not Mathematical Literacy) as follows:
    • Grade 9 – 50% (AL4)
    • Grade 11 – 40 (AL3)
    • Grade 10 – 35 % (AL2)
    • Grade 12 – 30% (AL2)
 HOSPITALITY LEVEL 2 – 4
  • A year end school report for Grade 9 or Higher
  • NQF Level 1 Qualification (STD 7/Form 2/ABET 4)
  • Preference will be given to Grade 11 & 12 learners
  • Placement test is compulsory to enable the College to refer a leaner to a suitable programme
  • Grade 9 or higher with pass% Mathematics (Not Mathematical Literacy) as follows:
    • Grade 9 – 60% (AL4)
    • Grade 10 – 50% (AL3)
    • Grade 11 – 45 % (AL2)
    • Grade 12 – 40% (AL2)
BUSINESS MANAGEMENT N4 –N6
  • Grade12 or NCV L4 or National Senior Certificate (NSC). Preference will be given to learners with a score of 26 or higher on admission instrument attached. Then  a slidding scale will be applied until the specific programme is full.
  • Grade12 or NCV L4 or National Senior Certificate (NSC) Recognized relevant work experience, learnership, or certificate subject to approval by Academic Head and Principal
HOSPITALITY N4 – N6
  • Grade12 or NCV L4 or National Senior Certificate (NSC). Preference will be given to learners with a score of 26 or higher on admission instrument attached. Then a sliding scale will be applied until the specific programme is full.
  • Grade12 or NCV L4 or National Senior Certificate (NSC) Recognized relevant work experience, learnership, or certificate subject to approval by Academic Head and Principal

  • Preference will be given to Grade 11 & 12 learners

  • Grade 9 or higher with pass% in English as follows:
    • Grade 9 – 60% (AL4)
    • Grade 10 – 50 (AL3)
    • Grade 11 – 45 % (AL2)
    • Grade 12 – 40% (AL2)

PRIMARY AGRICULTURE LEVEL 2 – 4

  •  Learners who intend to enrol for Physical Science – optional subject – must have pass% in both Mathematics and Physical Science as follows:

    • Grade 10 – 50 % (AL2)
    • Grade 12 – 40% (AL2)

OFFICE ADMINISTRATION

  • A year end school report for Grade 9 or Higher
