Nyadire Teachers College is one of the prestigious universities in Zimbabwe. Like other universities of higher learning, they have a system of grading for the various programs offered in the university.
Normally, the evaluation shall be based on continuous assessment as well as formal examinations. Unless otherwise approved by the Senate, the continuous assessment will contribute between 25% and 50% of the overall assessment. The contribution of continuous assessment will differ from faculty to faculty as provided for under respective faculty regulations.
- Each course unit shall be graded out of one hundred (100) marks;
- The final examination shall constitute seventy percent (70%) and coursework the remaining thirty percent (30%) of the marks in each course unit offered and taken in any semester except for the MRP;
- MRP shall be done in only one area of specialization and is graded out of one hundred percent (100%);
The grading system for each course unit is as follows:
- First Class.
- Upper Second Class.
- Lower Second Class.
- Pass.
The following Grading and Classification System shall be adopted for all Modules and Undergraduate, Postgraduate Degree and Diploma programmes:
