For admission into Undergraduates, Postgraduates, Diploma, and Masters programs at the United Church of Zambia University UCZU for any first degree or second degree, an applicant must have the following requirements for successful admission.

Standard Qualifications
Every applicant must possess credit passes in at least five subjects obtained at grade 12 (General Certificate of Education) which must include English and Mathematics.
Alternate Qualifications
Qualifications other than those of General Certificate of Education may be accepted provided they are approved by the Senate.
A person holding a diploma of a University or College recognized by UCZ University may be regarded as having satisfied the general entrance requirements.
Mature Age Applicants
A candidate who is twenty five years of age or more in the academic year in which he proposes to enter the University may be accepted to any degree programme, if he/she presents evidence of attainments which in the opinion of the University indicates that he/she has the capacity to pursue the proposed course of study.
Exemptions
Where a student admitted to the University produces satisfactory evidence that he has completed one or more courses or subjects of a course of study for a degree obtained at a University or College recognized by the Senate, such student may be granted credit in the subject at the discretion of Senate.
