Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (DKUT) Resumption 2022
Receive greetings from Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (DeKUT).
As you are aware, the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Education on 29th September,
2022, notified the public that universities and tertiary institutions will reopen on 5th
October 2022. He also directed that final year students in all universities should
report on the above-mentioned date.
On behalf of the University Management and the Senate, I am happy to inform you
that all 4th and 5th-year students are required to report on 5th October 2022. Your
Deans, Directors/Chairs of Departments will have organized the following:
a) Laboratory/workshop practical schedules for the groups that have pending
practical sessions.
b) Final year project presentation and/or completion schedule and,
c) Examination timetable.
Please note that the students in the SBME will start their examinations on 21st October 2022 whereas, the rest (those who have to finalize pending laboratory/workshop practical sessions) will start on 26th October 2022.
In conclusion, please note other details and/or updates will be communicated as
the need arises. Lastly, it is our prayer that you are adhering to the Ministry of Health
guidelines on the prevention of Coronavirus infections.
