The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) is a statutory body established in July 1995 by an Act of Parliament ‘Higher Education Loans Board Act’ Cap 213A. It is a state corporation in the Ministry of Education. The Board is domiciled and operates within the republic of Kenya.

HELB Student Portal is where students log in and check the application status of their loan, collect loans, and other beneficial resources. On the portal, you can have access to resources online made available for you.
How does it work?
The system is very easy to use. When you register and log in you will have access to everything from loan application to allocation and disbursement status. Who can use the portal? Any registered or existing students can have free and unlimited access to the portal.
