Who Can Apply?

Below are the category of persons qualified to apply for the Jain University Scholarship 2021

Foreign Students

Students holding the passport issued by foreign countries including people of Indian origin who have acquired the nationality of foreign countries are classified as foreign students.


Non – Resident Indians (NRI)

An NRI student is one who has an NRI status. Students who have studied their qualifying examination (equivalent to the 10+2) of India from schools or colleges abroad (outside India) will be considered as NRI/ International students.


NRI Sponsored Students

An NRI sponsored student is an Indian citizen whose direct blood relative (Parents, Grand Parents, direct Brother/Sister) is an NRI.


Person of Indian Origin

Students of Indian Origin but not a citizen of India is classified under the PIO status

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR JAIN(DEEMED-TO-BE-UNIVERSITY) 2021

Undergraduate Programs

The applicant must have completed 12 years of formal education at the School level or equivalent or relevant higher qualification with minimum aggregate marks or equivalent grades, as prescribed for the respective program in the program details. (In certain countries ‘O’ level is accepted equivalent to 10th (Matric) and ‘A’ level is accepted equivalent to 10+2 (12th).


Post Graduate Programs

The applicant must have completed 12 years of formal education at the School level followed by a recognized Bachelor’s Degree of at least 3 years duration in any relevant discipline or equivalent or relevant higher qualification with minimum aggregate marks or equivalent grades, as prescribed for the respective program in the program details.

VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR JAIN(DEEMED-TO-BE-UNIVERSITY) 2021 SCHOLARSHIP

Foreign Nationals desirous of coming into India are required to possess a valid passport of their country and a valid Indian Visa. To study in India it is mandatory for an international student to procure an Indian Student Visa. Visas can be applied for in person or by post at the High Commission of India based in the country from where the candidate intends to depart for India.

Student Visa Related Information
  1. International students who wish to study in India should obtain a Student Visa before traveling to India
  2. Once the student has been issued a confirmed admission letter to study at the university, he/she should immediately apply for a Student Visa
  3. The student should apply for a Student Visa before coming to India by contacting the Indian Embassy in his/her home country
  4. The Indian Embassy will be able to tell the average turnaround time for a visa application, which may be somewhere between 3 to 8 weeks
  5. For more information, an international student should contact the Indian Embassy in his/her home country
  6. Nationals of Nepal and Bhutan do not require a visa to enter India. However, citizens of Nepal require a visa when entering India from China
  7. A separate visa regime exists for diplomatic/official passport holders

 

How to Apply for Jain(Deemed-to-be-University) Fully-funded Scholarship 2021

Step 1

Find a program of study


Step 2 – Application
Apply Now:  Undergraduate  OR   Postgraduate 
OR

Collect the Jain (Deemed-to-be University) Application form in person by paying INR 7500rs (SAARC Nationals – Pakistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Maldives) and US$ 100 (Other Foreign Nationals) at the Jain (Deemed-to-be University) Admissions Office.

Download the application form from the Jain (Deemed-to-be University) and send the duly filled form along with a demand draft of INR 7500rs (SAARC Nationals – Pakistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Maldives) and US$ 100 (Other Foreign Nationals) in favor of Jain (Deemed-to-be University) payable at Bangalore.

Note: Application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.


Step 3 – Submit Mark Sheets

Duly filled application forms along with the attested mark sheet should be submitted to Jain (Deemed-to-be University) Admissions Office at the address mentioned above. The envelope should be superscribed as “Application for Admissions (domestic / Indian Students or NRI / PIO / Foreign Nationals)” and indicate the program and course applied for as illustrated below.

Step 4 – Scrutiny of Applications

On receipt of application forms, they will be scrutinized and if the candidate is found eligible for the program opted, the student will be asked to remit the fees and complete the admission process.

For NRI / PIO / Foreign Nationals, a provisional admission letter will be issued. International students can use the same letter to apply for Student Visa / Research Visa at the Indian High Commissions / Consulates in their respective countries.


Step 5 – Admission Formalities

On confirmation of admission, the applicant MUST submit the following documents/testimonials in ORIGINALS within the stipulated date to Jain (Deemed-to-be University).

  3. Migration Certificate (Other than PU Board)
  4. Passport Size Photographs
International Students
