OVERVIEW
It all started with a bold idea: create a higher education institution whose mission is to provide affordable and accessible education for all who desire to learn regardless of wealth, heritage, or previous academic experience. Local communities petitioned the Pennsylvania State Board of Education to sponsor and establish community colleges in the Commonwealth.
