Mbarara University of Science and Technology MUST Admission Requirements… List of requirements for admission into certificate, diploma, undergraduate degree programmes and postgraduate degree programmes.

The Mbarara University of Science and Technology MUST admission requirement is the first step in your application process. Like other institutions of learning, admission into the Mbarara University of Science and Technology MUST is subject to meeting the admission requirement for your choice of course.

Admission Requirements for Certificate & Diploma Programmes Mbarara University of Science and Technology MUST

Certificate 

Passes in all four Core subjects and any two Electives relevant to the course.

Diploma

Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations
Passes in all the core subjects i.e. Core English, Core Mathematics

Admission Requirements for Undergraduate Programmes at Mbarara University of Science and Technology MUST

Direct Entry from Schools.

1. Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent with at least 5 passes
2. Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least 2 principal passes.
3. Applicants MUST meet additional programme-specific entry requirements

Diploma Entry.

1. Diploma holders must have passed with at least a credit.
2. Applicants MUST meet additional programme-specific entry requirements

The minimum requirements for admission to any Diploma programme are:

1. Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent with at least 5 passes
2. Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least 1 principal pass and two subsidiary passes.
3. Applicants MUST meet additional programme-specific entry requirements

The minimum requirements for admission to the Higher Education Access Certificate programme are:

1. Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent with at least 5 passes
2. Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least two subsidiary passes.
3. Applicants MUST meet additional programme-specific entry requirements

NOTE: ONLY applicants who have met the admission requirements shall be considered for admission.

Admission Requirements for Postgraduate Programmes at Mbarara University of Science and Technology MUST

Ugandan Applicants

1. 1. Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent with at least 5 passes
   2. Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least 2 principal passes.
   3. An Honors degree from an accredited degree awarding institution
   4. Candidates who have a Pass degree should have at least a Postgraduate Diploma with at least a credit from an accredited degree awarding institution.
   5. Candidates MUST meet the programme-specific requirements

For applicants to clinical programmes;

1. 1. Have documentary evidence of Internship Training indicating disciplines and dates.
   2. Be registered or eligible for registration with Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.
   3. A current certificate of good standing with the Medical Practitioners’ Council of the country of origin.

NOTE: ONLY applicants who have met the admission requirements shall be considered for admission.

Mbarara University of Science and Technology MUST Application Steps

Follow the steps below to complete the application process:

Step 1: Obtain the Application Form.

Step 2: Obtain the Brochure, and go through it before completing the application form.

Step 3: Once you are done with STEP 2, fill out the application form and attach relevant documents(s)

Step 4: In this step, you are either to forward the application form back to the institution or if you were on the online application portal, you click on ‘submit application’

Once you have done with the application process, the next step is to wait for the names of selected applicants.
