The following are the requirements for admission into the programmes offered at Nelson Mandela University (NMU):
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum NSC statutory requirements for degree entry must be met.
- An applicant with NSC Gr 12 Maths requires a minimum (AS) of 390 for either the Commerce, Natural Science or Language and Social Science streams.
- An applicant with NSC Gr 12 Technical Maths requires a minimum (AS) of 390 for the Language and Social Sciences stream.
- An applicant with NSC Gr 12 Maths Lit requires a minimum (AS) of 405 for the Language and Social Sciences stream.
- English (Home Language or First Additional Language) AND Afrikaans or isiXhosa (Home Language or First Additional Language).
