1. Logistics Associate, SC6 (Dadaab)
JOB PURPOSE
To provide specialized support functions and/or supervise staff performing standard logistics/supply chain processes and activities to enable effective delivery of goods and services for all delivery modalities.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED EXPERIENCES FOR ENTRY INTO THE ROLE
Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area.
Language: General Service (Field): Fluency in both oral and written communication in the UN language in use at the duty station and in the duty station’s language, if different.
Work experience: At least 5 years work experience in managing a range of warehouse activities including safeguarding of commodities and supplies, and ensuring well-organized warehousing and storage service.

- Provide specialized support to logistics operations and activities, following standard processes and contributing, directly or indirectly, to the effective delivery of food assistance to beneficiaries.
- Coordinate requisitioning and ensure timely delivery of commodities and supplies to authorised partners and destinations.
- Manage logistics vendors’ contracting activities including performance monitoring and measurement.
- Support gathering market intelligence, vendor assessments (e.g. transporters, retailers) to support vendor selection process.

2. Storekeeper, SC4 (Dadaab)
JOB PURPOSE
To handle receipt/dispatch and verification of commodities in order to maximise quality of warehouse operations and mitigate losses, and to support the best storage management practices in compliance with WFP warehouse standards and established guidelines.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED EXPERIENCES FOR ENTRY INTO THE ROLE
Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area is desirable.
Language: Fluency (level C) in the UN language in use at the duty station and in the duty station’s language, if different.
Work Experience: At least 4 years progressively responsible work expereince in warehousing, logistics, supply-chain handling receipt/dispatch and verification of commodities, warehouse supervision and commodity reconcilliation.
Knowledge & Skills;
- Experience using logistics databases to extract routine reports.
- Experience in managing warehouses with Food and Non-Food Items.
- Experience in managing inventories.
- Experience in processing invoices.
Key Accountabilities (Not All-inclusive)
- Effectively receive/dispatch commodities including transhipment (truck to truck) against official approved documentation (e.g. waybills and/or delivery notes) ensuring accuracy in physical count of commodities including the quality in compliance with the established standards.
- Prepare, verify and sign off warehouse and transport documents, and maintain confidential files and accurate warehouse transaction records to ensure immediate reporting on commodity movements in line with the corporate requirements.
- Conduct daily warehouse closing reconciliation and accurate inventory checks supporting internal control systems in compliance with the warehouse management requirements.
- Perform daily inspections and prepare reports on the quantity and quality of the commodities received/dispatched and handled, detect promptly and analyse reasons for stock discrepancies/damages, investigate missing quantity and prepare warehouse loss reports recommending appropriate solutions, to enable informed decision-making.
- Implement appropriate measures to safeguard food and non-food commodities, to ensure quality control using standard preventive measures in line with WFP established procedures and authorization received from the supervisor.

JOB PURPOSE
To perform a range of HR tasks to support accurate implementation of WFP policies and procedures and facilitate the effective functioning of a client-focused and strategy-oriented HR services.
Standard Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or other relevant fields.
Working Experience: Three to five years’ experience of providing progressively responsible support in general administrative work, including at least three years in human resources or other related field.
Language: Fluency in English, both oral and written. Intermediate knowledge of other UN language would be an advantage.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of general HR administrative work practices and methods, gained through relevant technical training and experience.

4. Procurement Intern (Nairobi)

Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in posting Expression of Interest (EOI) and Request for Information (RFI) advertisements on UNGM.
- Supplier submissions and current details are recorded in the electronic registry in their respective folders for ease of access.
- Assist in running periodic checks for suppliers in the UN sanctions list via the Contractor Information Management System (CIMS).
- Assist in preparation of meeting minutes and presentation of supplier submissions to the Vendor Management Committee (VMC) for verification.
- Periodic update of the supplier roster with new approved submissions by the VMC.
- Assist in sending out registration status to suppliers I.e. for Intend registration or submission of missing documents for consideration.

5. Human Resources Officer (Learning And Development)
JOB PURPOSE
The Regional Bureau is looking for a highly qualified and dynamic HR Officer proficient in Learning & Development who can be deployed to support the Regional Bureau and RBN Country Offices in coordinating and deploying various learning interventions in line with the RBN Capability Development Investment Case and training calendar to close identified critical functional and cross-functional capability gaps.
The HR Officer will support skills development in the Regional Bureau and the Country Offices by coordinating and deploying WFP Corporate Programmes in line with global capability development priorities e.g. Supervisory Skills Programme, Middle Managers Programme, Horizon Programme etc.
The HR Officer will also support the Knowledge Management and Organizational Learning strategy in liaison with the RBN Knowledge Management focal points.
Standard Minimum Qualifications
Education: Advanced university degree in Human Resource Management, Public or Business Administration, Industrial Psychology or other relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience or trainings/courses. Typically one or more years of postgraduate professional experience in Human Resources with an interest in international humanitarian development.
Experience:5-7 years of experience in providing HR services, experience in organizing and coordinating training programs and other learning initiatives within a large organization(s).
