Auditor Requirements

Auditors are to provide the Registrar with a transcript or other appropriate evidence (e.g., a diploma) indicating they have a bachelor degree or its equivalent. Auditors are not required to fulfill the course requirements and they receive neither grades nor credit for the courses. A transcript filed with the Registrar will indicate the designation AU. The designation is given for auditors who have attended at least one third of the class sessions. They are expected to do any readings and may participate in class discussions, but are exempt from exams and writing research papers. Auditors are also subject to the same tuition costs and fees, and they have access to the resources in the RGS Library.

Auditors may apply by completing the Auditor Application Form here. For additional information or questions, please contact our registrar at [email protected] or +1 610 419-1751 ext.102. Please note that the number of auditors enrolled in each class is limited and is also subject to instructor approval, so admittance is not guaranteed.

English Language Requirements

For Master of Arts in Islamic Studies at Respect Graduate School

One of the admission requirements for RGS MAIS program is the English language proficiency requirement*. Those students who did not complete their undergraduate education in a complete English medium program are required to provide international English proficiency level (6 on the IELTS or 60-78 on the TOEFL) or be successful at RGS English assessment test.

*Even if a student meets the English requirements for RGS, they may still be required to take a proficiency exam (IELTS or TOEFL) for Charles Sturt University.

Assessment Test

After Completing the application form for the English Language Program, prospective students will be contacted by an RGS academic team member to schedule an assessment test. This assessment is designed to evaluate the student’s current level of English speaking and writing ability, to answer any questions the student may have, and to help guide them to the course that will be best suited to their ability and goals.

The Assessment test consists of two parts:

  1. Oral proficiency interview (OPI)
  2. Written exam

Students who fail to comply with English language requirements at RGS are advised to take additional courses at Nile Language School (https://nls.edu/) and complete at least a High Intermediate Level program to be reconsidered for the admission to the MAIS program.
