The Soroti University admission requirement is the first step in your application process. Like other institutions of learning, admission into the Soroti University is subject to meeting the admission requirement for your choice of course.
Admission Requirements for Certificate & Diploma Programmes Soroti University
Certificate
Passes in all four Core subjects and any two Electives relevant to the course.
Diploma
Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations
Passes in all the core subjects i.e. Core English, Core Mathematics
Admission Requirements for Undergraduate Programmes at Soroti University
For direct entry:
- Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE); and
- At least 2 principal passes at Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
For mature age entry:
- 25 years of age and above; and
- Must have passed mature age entry examinations with 50% mark and above.
ORDINARY DIPLOMA PROGRAMME
The minimum entry requirements for admission to an ordinary diploma programme are:
- Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes; and
- Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with 1 principal pass and
- 2 subsidiary passes obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
ORDINARY CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME
- The minimum entry requirements for admission to an ordinary certificate programme is a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 3 credits obtained at the same sitting.
NOTE: ONLY applicants who have met the admission requirements shall be considered for admission.
Admission Requirements for Postgraduate Programmes at Soroti University
Minimun Entry Requirement for Master’s Degree Programme
- For a master’s degree, a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
Minimun Entry Requirement for Doctorate Degree Programme
- For a doctoral degree, a master’s degree or its equivalent.
NOTE: ONLY applicants who have met the admission requirements shall be considered for admission.
Soroti University Application Steps
Follow the steps below to complete the application process:
Step 1: Obtain the Application Form.
Step 2: Obtain the Brochure, and go through it before completing the application form.
Step 3: Once you are done with STEP 2, fill out the application form and attach relevant documents(s)
Step 4: In this step, you are either to forward the application form back to the institution or if you were on the online application portal, you click on ‘submit application’
