Kenyatta University Phased Re-Opening for 2022/2023 Academic Year

Kenyatta University wishes to inform all our continuing students that the re-opening of the University to complete the Second Semester/Trimester 2022/2023 will take place in two phases as follows.

1. PHASE ONE

The 1^st & 4^th Year, Certificate, Diploma, Postgraduate students and all students in the Schools of Architecture, Law, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy Engineering and Technology, and B. Sc. (Food Nutrition & Dietetics).

Reporting Date: 16^th October 2022.

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES IN PHASE ONE

19^th – 23^rd October: Completion of teaching, CATS, and practical examinations.

26^th Oct – 6^th November: Examinations for 1^st, 4^th Undergraduate, Certificate, Diploma, Postgraduate students.

19^th Oct – 6^th November: Continuing students from the Schools of Architecture, Law, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy Engineering and Technology, and B. Sc. (Food Nutrition & Dietetics) students to continue with learning activities.

Digital School of Virtual and Open Learning (DSVOL) Students

17^th & 18^th October: CATS for Postgraduate students

19^th October: Collection of Examination Cards

21^st – 26^th October: Examinations for all DSVOL students at their respective DSVOL centers.

2. PHASE TWO

2^nd & 3^rd   Years Students

Reporting Date: 7^th – 8^th November

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES IN PHASE TWO

9^th – 13^th November: Completion of teaching, CATS and practical examinations for 2^nd and 3^rd Years.

16^th – 27^th November: Examinations for 2^nd and 3^rd Years and Continuing students from the Schools of Architecture, Law, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy Engineering and Technology and B. Sc. (Food Nutrition & Dietetics)

Continuing Education Programme (CEP) Students

28^th – 29^th November: Reporting Date

30^th November: Collection of Examination of Cards

1^st – 3^rd December: 2^nd Trimester Examination for all CEP students

4^th December: Commencement of 3^rd Trimester 2022/2023 face-to-face session.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

1. All Students are advised to strictly adhere to the reporting schedule as specified above.
2. Students with examinations that cut across the two phases are advised to make necessary arrangements to sit for the examinations when they are offered in the respective phase.
3. Students will be required to report with at least two (2) reusable/washable face masks and ensure the wearing of the same at all times.
4. Students are advised to strictly adhere to the Health and Safety Regulations and measures as directed by the University and the Ministry of Health.
5. Each student will be required to sign to abide by the Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.
6. The examinations timetable will be available online two weeks before the official re-opening of the University. All students are advised to keep checking for information and updates on the University website.
