The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Kenya invites applications from suitably qualified applicants for employment in the commission for 2022/2023.

Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Kenya is a body in charge of the employment of Primary and Secondary School Teachers in Kenya. This body yearly employs thousand of Kenyans to fill the vacant spaces in the primary and secondary sector.


Below are the basic requirements for applicants to possess:

A. Primary School Teachers

  • Be a Kenyan citizen
  • Must be a holder of a P1 certificate
  • Must be a registered teacher with the Teachers Service commission

B. Secondary School Teachers

  • Be a Kenyan citizen
  • Must be a holder of at least a Diploma in Education
  • Must be a registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission.

Practicing teachers in public primary schools 1000 posts to secondary schools Qualifications:

  • Be a Kenyan citizen
  • Must be a holder of a P1 certificate
  • Be a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with two teaching subjects
  • Must have attained at least C+ (plus) mean grade in KCSE or its equivalent in the two teaching subjects
  • Must be serving under the Teachers Service Commission.


  1. Visit the Teachers Service commissions (TSC) online portal by using this link.
  2. Sign in to the portal and you will see a link titled ‘active adverts for teachers’, click on it.
  3. The next page will be the E-Recruitment portal that has a list of the open vacancies.
  4. Scroll to your desired post and click on ‘actions’ on the far right.
  5. Once you get to the next page, you’ll see ‘View/ apply. Here, you can view the details of the job then apply for the post.
  6. Enter your Surname, ID, and TSC numbers to proceed.
  7. Fill in the details that follow to complete the application.


  • Once you apply online, you are not to submit hard copy to the commission again.
  • No application fees is required.
  • Already employed teachers are not to apply again.

    Comment: i’m glad for the advert but my request to tsc is that can one be absorbed in secondry with diploma after pursuing p1 by the government

    Get back to the previous employment criteria of age consideration many teachers are becoming a waste

    Please TSC may you consider age because some of us are in forties and almost reaching the age limit of 45
