About Wits Health Consortium: Wits Health Consortium (Pty) Limited (“WHC”) is a wholly-owned company of the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, established to conduct contract or sponsored research, entrepreneurial, and philanthropic funded activities and services, including clinical services.

Job Purpose: The purpose of this internship is to provide administrative support to the Human Resources team and assist with a wide range of Human Resources related activities and tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities: Some of the key performance areas include:

  • Compiling various HR-related documents such as contract renewals, maternity leave agreements, and certificates of service.
  • Maintaining HR databases and records.
  • Assisting with recruitment activities.
  • Handling employee terminations.
  • Preparing HR administration within deadlines.

  • Required minimum education and training: Human Resources Degree/Diploma.
  • Required minimum work experience: A minimum of six months working experience in a Human Resources field will be advantageous.
