Description
Pwani University is a public university in the Kilifi County in Kenya, located 60 km north of Mombasa in the resort town of Kilifi, within the larger Kilifi County. Prior to the award of a charter, the university was a constituent college of Kenyatta University.
Responsibilities:
- Reading related field blueprints and performing job lay outs.
- Practicing safe working habits.
- Preparing reports pertaining to repairs and scheduled maintenance and other tasks.
- Assisting in maintaining and undertaking minor repairs of lab equipment.
- Assisting in maintaining an updated inventory of consumables and non-consumables in the areas of jurisdiction
- Assisting in preparation of budget materials for teaching materials
- Assisting in ensuring that the area of jurisdiction is secure and available whenever necessary
- Assisting in conducting student practicals at postgraduate and undergraduate levels
- Supporting departmental innovations, research and income-generating activities
- Any other duty assigned by the immediate supervisor
Requirements:
- Applicants must have a Diploma preferably in Electronics and Instrumentation, Electronics and Telecommunication, Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
- Candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant practical working experience with proven integrity, independence, innovativeness and compliance to deadlines.
