The Higher Education Loans Board invites applications for First Time 2022/2023 TVET Loan and Bursary from Kenyan students admitted in National Polytechnics, Technical Training Institutions, and Vocational Colleges under the Ministry of Education, and are registered with Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service [KUCCPS]
and members of the Kenya Association Technical Training Institutions [KATTI].
ELIGIBILITY
Students enrolled in approved TVET courses and are applying for their first student loan.
HOW TO APPLY
- Applicants should visit our website www.helb.co.ke to access the Student Portal to register, create and activate the account(ensure you use your personal mobile number)
- Log in, go to Loan Application, click Certificate (Artisan and Craft) or Diploma, and select the 2022/2023 TVET
First Time Loan Application Form [LAF]. - Read and appraise oneself online on Financial Literacy and appreciate the purpose of credit.
- Access and fill the loan application form.
- Print TWO copies of the duly filled Loan Application Form.
- Ensure you preview the form and correct where necessary before you submit for printing
Have the forms appropriately filled, signed, and stamped by the relevant authorities. - Read, understand and sign to accept the Loan Terms and Conditions and Data Protection Consent form
- Present one copy of the duly filled Loan Application Form and all the attached support documents at:
– Any of the following Huduma centers with HELB desk nearest to you: Nairobi-GPO, Machakos, Mombasa,
Nakuru, Eldoret, Kisumu, Kakamega, Kisii, Nyeri, Embu, Kitui, Bungoma, Lodwar, Meru, Thika, Kitale, Kericho,
Nandi, Murang’a, Garissa, Narok, Migori, Chuka, Kilii, Taita Taveta, West Pokot, Bomet, and Makueni for free and
secure delivery, OR
– HELB Student Service Centre on Mezzanine 1, Anniversary Towers, University Way, Nairobi, OR Send through registered and secured mail or courier
9. Retain a copy of the duly filled and signed Loan Application Form (This is mandatory)

Copperbelt University (CU) Bursaries 2022/2023 – Copperbelt University (CU) Bursaries 2022/2023 Application Form.
The Management of The Copperbelt University (CU) invites applications from suitably qualified students for the 2022/2023 bursaries application. Students are advised to check the processing requirements before applying.
NOTE: The University does not award the bursary but admits students who had been sponsored by the Government and Non-Government Organisations (NGOs). Therefore all bursary application processions should be addressed to the Ministry of Education’s Bursaries Committee.
Copperbelt University (CU) Bursaries 2022/2023
To be eligible for a student loan an individual must:
- Zambian citizen
- School leaver up to 3 years prior to commencement of the programme.
- Admitted into a degree programme at one of the local public universities.
STUDENTS LOAN PACKAGE
The loan package covers the following:
- Tuition fees
- Accommodation fees
- Cost of books (Book allowance)
- Project and equipment expense.
- Student upkeep. The actual funding levels are determined by the Government through the Bursaries Committee in consultation with the universities and other relevant stakeholders.
LOAN CATEGORIES
In administering the loan scheme, students are availed the following loan options: 100% funding level 75% funding level 50% funding level 25% funding level. Please note that only vulnerable Zambians need to apply for a 100% loan and are expected to attach all necessary documents in support of their vulnerability.
CONDITIONS OF THE LOAN
- The loan is determined by the Bursaries Committee and is not negotiable by the students’ union.
- The loan is only valid for one academic year/semester but may be renewable on the application on the production of satisfactory academic results.
- Part of the loan due to the student is paid to the beneficiary through a commercial bank as funds become available.
- Candidates awarded a Student Loan are expected to meet any shortfall not covered by the loan.
- Upon completion of a programme a student loanee shall be given a grace period of one year whereafter the repayment of the loan shall commence.
- However, one can start the repayment of the loan even earlier.
- Handwritten application letter, stating loan category
- Bursaries Committee Application Form
- Certified copy of admission letter to the University
- Certified copies of applicant’s.
- National Registration Card (NRC)
- Parents/Guardian’s National Registration Card
- Grade 12 Statement of Results

Bindura University (BUSE) Educational Loan Facility Application 2021
The Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development in conjunction with The Commercial Bank of Zimbabwe (CBZ) has come up with an Education Loan Facility to support needy students. The facility will be administered through the University and is open to undergraduate students on a first-come-first-served basis.
- The scheme is not a grant hence beneficiaries would be expected to pay back at an interest rate of 23% per annum subject to adjustment.
- This loan scheme is not replacing existing loan schemes such as Edu-loan. Students are free to apply for any other loan scheme available on the market.
Bindura University (BUSE) Educational Loan Facility Application Process:
- Download the following loan application forms, complete and submit to Student Affairs together with the necessary attachments.
- Students previously supported by BEAM must apply and attach a supporting letter from the school they attended.
- Students should note that there is no set deadline for the receipt of applications forms.
- Students on the January 2021 intake are eligible to apply.
NB: Students shall be required to pay full fees before they can register for the next semester.
