HiH EA is a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in Kenya with mandate to operate within the Eastern Africa Region and a member of the Hand in Hand Global Network. Her vision is to reduce poverty through enterprise development and job creation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review of current Urban curriculum and how it was delivered in the KMES pilot program
- Review of technical capacity of BDOs
- Needs assessment of sample SMEs
- Development of practical manual reflecting on (1), (2) and (3) above
- Host validation session with HIHEA and other beneficiary stakeholders
- Develop final manuals incorporating stakeholder feedback
Tasks and Deliverables
- Inception report
- Accelerator curriculum review report; highlighting gaps and improvement areas
- BDOs capacity assessment report ; highlighting capacity improvement gaps
- Draft practical manual
- Training guidelines for BDOs who will deliver the curriculum
- Final approved soft copy manuals with HIHEA comments incorporated after presentation and discussion.
Key qualification experience of the Firm/ lead individual:
- 10 year experience in Kenya’s entrepreneurial ecosystem
- Masters Degree in entrepreneurship, business and related disciplines
- Proven ability to demonstrate innovative thinking and previous experience working in curriculum design for MSMe
- Ability to work independently to strict timelines
- Strong interpersonal skills, good communication and excellent planning and facilitation skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills and
- Sound reporting skills.
