The Manor College Undergraduate Admission requirements for the academic year have been released. The list contains the names of applicants that have been accepted into the school.

Manor College Undergraduate Admission & Requirements
The 16 units of required high school preparation are as follows:
English 4, Science 1, Mathematics 2, Social Science 2 Laboratory Science 1, Electives 6
Elective subjects in any of the above areas of study will be accepted. Manor accepts the following Transfer Credits:

Dental Hygiene
Criteria (Minimum to Apply)
- Minimum High School G.P.A. of 3.0
- 1 year High School level Biology/Lab
- 1 year High School level Chemistry/Lab
- Minimum H.S. Science GPA 2.5/75
- 2 years of High School math including Geometry
- SAT minimum of 1000 (V+M or CR+M)
- ACT minimum of 24
- Previous college minimum G.P.A. of a 2.5
- Credits from other Dental Hygiene programs will be reviewed on an individual basis
- Minimum College Science G.P.A. 2.5 (Based on 4.0 credit science/lab courses)
Admissions Procedure
- Interview with an Admissions Counselor
- Completion of Admissions process by February 1
- Complete essay component
Selection Process
- Selection is highly competitive based on the above criteria
- Admissions is offered to 14 applicants; a wait list is also selected
- The admissions process must be completed by February 1 (Application, all transcripts and standardized tests) to be considered for the appropriate Fall semester
- Interview for students that meet the requirements will be completed after February 1, after all dental hygiene applicants are reviewed
Full-Time Program
The Dental Hygiene Program is full-time. Only one class is admitted each year. Accepted students will start in the summer or fall semester depending on academic background. If the initial required summer courses (English 101 and Chemistry 101) are in progress or have been completed prior to acceptance, the student will begin the program in the fall.
Placement Test Requirements
All students accepted into the Dental Hygiene program are accepted with the provision that they must place into college level coursework on Manor’s Placement Test (reading, writing and mathematics) in order to be eligible to enroll in the Dental Hygiene program. Students needing developmental courses must complete the required coursework and meet specified academic standards prior to enrolling in the Dental Hygiene program.
Placement testing must be completed within two weeks of acceptance. Students may retake each subtest only one time. Retests must be taken with ten days of initial test. Seats will not be held for students who require developmental coursework.
Required Documentation:
Prior to matriculation, students must have a tetanus inoculation, a TB test/chest X-ray (required annually) and begin the Hepatitis B vaccination series. Proof of inoculations and TB test results must be submitted prior to matriculation.
Students must also submit proof of health insurance coverage and CPR certification (Healthcare Provider Adult/Child/Infant with AED) by the designated due dates and retain both for the duration and enrollment in the program. Incurred costs are the responsibility of the student.
Expanded Functions Dental Assisting (EFDA)

Specific Program Requirements Following Matriculation:
- Student must show proof of required childhood inoculations.
- Student must show proof of current tetanus inoculation.
- Students must show proof of having a TB test (prior to matriculation).
- Student must show proof of having received, or that they are beginning, required Hepatitis B Vaccine Series which must be completed by January before entering the clinical setting.
- Students show proof of medical insurance coverage (this must be maintained throughout the entire program, demonstrating proof of, at the beginning of each semester).
- Students must show proof of being CPR (Healthcare Provider) certified within first semester and maintain certification throughout program.
Expanded Functions Dental Assisting (EFDA) Certificate
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) Certification
- Current CPR Certification
- Current X-Ray Certification
- Proof of a Minimum of 3 years full-time employment in the field of dentistry
- Letter of recommendation from employing dentist, specifically citing applicant’s four-handed chair-side ability
- Successful completion of a Dental Anatomy course at an ADA-approved schoolProcedure:

- Official transcripts from any college/university or any other postsecondary schools

Veterinary Technology
Admissions Requirements:
High school diploma or GED is required of all applicants (AVMA requirement).
Entry freshman college students (from high school or who hold a GED)
- Copies of high school transcript or GED scores
- Required SAT or ACT (within past 3 years) or College Placement Test (Accuplacer):
SAT: > 900 combined score OR ACT: > 19 combined score OR
Accuplacer:
- >246 or above in math
- 240-245 or above in reading
- 4 or above on the essay
Transfer student from another college:
- A grade of ‘C’ or better in college level Math and Science
- Placement into college level English or transfer of college level English
Transferring into the VT Program from other majors at Manor College:
- A grade of ‘C’ or better in college level Math, Science and English
- Note: we recommend MH110 College Algebra, BI100 Survey of Biology and EN101 Fundamentals of Composition I
Additional Noteworthy Points:
- Admission to the program is contingent on the applicant’s ability to satisfy the required technical ability standards.
- For students who wish to enroll full-time in the VT program starting in a spring semester: the student should be able to complete all required freshman course work within the spring and subsequent summer semester, otherwise they should be counseled to start as part time students.
- A prior criminal record may preclude a graduate of the program from licensure by the Pennsylvania State Board of Veterinary Medicine and a student should consult with the State Board of Veterinary Medicine prior to matriculation if they have questions/concerns.
- Successful completion of the following is recommended but not required:
- 1 year H.S. or college Biology with lab
- 1 year H.S. or college Chemistry with lab
- 2 years H.S. or college Math including one year of regular Algebra
- Minimum High School GPA of 3.0
- Minimum High School or College Science and Math GPA of 3.0
Veterinary Technology students must complete and submit to the Program Director all required verification and release forms before they are permitted to take veterinary technology courses. These forms must be submitted to the Veterinary Technology Office before the commencement of classes.
Students are required to complete and submit the following documents before starting the Program:

- Health Risk Notification and Release Form
- Manor College Aggressive Animal/Bite Protocol and Aggressive Animal Policies Form
- Agreement and Release of Liability Form
Students are asked to wear their uniforms to all veterinary technology classes and laboratories. All laboratories that involve hands-on training with animals also include animal care duties outside of class time. Students are asked to anticipate and plan for completing these additional responsibilities. Off campus laboratories and externships are not easily accessible via public transportation and students are expected to provide their own transportation to these sites.
