The management of Caldwell University Admission has released the list of Graduate requirements for admission into the institution.

  • Complete the Caldwell University Application for Admission online at www.caldwell.edu/applynow.  All prospective graduate students, including non-matriculating, visiting, degree, certificate, or current CU undergraduate students seeking admission to a combined bachelor/master degree program, must complete an Application.
    A Caldwell University graduate admissions counselor ([email protected], 973-618-3544) will follow-up with each applicant shortly after the submission of the online Application.
  • Transcripts:  Arrange to have official transcripts from undergraduate and/or graduate study sent directly to Caldwell University, Office of Graduate Admissions, 120 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell, NJ 07006 OR official electronic transcripts can be emailed to [email protected] if the official transcript is sent directly to Graduate Admissions by the institution or an approved third party, such as the National Student Clearinghouse, Parchment, or a NACES member agency.  The Office of Graduate Admissions will access the CU transcripts of those who previously or currently attend CU.

    International students applying for graduate admission must present documents demonstrating equivalent education and/or training from a non-U.S. college or university.  For example, a foreign college and/or university transcripts must be evaluated, course by course, by a National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (www.naces.org) member agency.

  • Other required documents:  Other documents may be required, such as recommendations, standardized test scores, a copy of an APA style research-based paper, personal statement, art portfolio, etc.  These admission requirements vary depending on the graduate program. If required, standardized test scores should be no more than five years old.

  • Admissions interview:  Qualified applicants to all Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Counseling programs will be contacted by the ABA Department or School of Psychology and Counseling, respectively, to schedule a required admissions interview, after all required application supporting documents are submitted to the Office of Graduate Admissions. An interview is not required for admission to all other graduate programs.

Application Review

After all required application supporting documents have arrived at the Office of Graduate Admissions, the application file will be forwarded to the appropriate graduate Program Coordinator for the review process. Applicants to programs that require an interview will be contacted to schedule an interview after the Program Coordinator reviews the application file.

Admission Decision

Admission decisions are typically made by the Program Coordinator or a small committee.  The Office of Graduate Admissions communicates the admission decision to the applicant.

A personal Caldwell University NetID, information on how to access the Cougar Apps platform, the MyCaldwell portal (to enroll in courses), and a Caldwell University personal email account, is sent to accepted students via email.

Enrollment Decision

An admissions deposit is NOT required for those who are accepted to a graduate program.  Accepted graduate students commit to attending Caldwell University simply by enrolling in courses during the designated enrollment period.
