Regen Organics is an industry leader in regenerating agriculture, cities and communities. We implement a circular economy model to sustainably manufacture regenerative insect feed for animals, various organic fertilizers and ecofuels for use in fast growing emerging markets. Our technologies and professional logistics network are developed in-house to safely collect and transport residual organics generated in cities and their environs for upcycling into various regenerative products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze policies, regulations, and legislation, preparing research briefs, submissions, and recommendations for changes on key policy issues of interest to the organization.
  • Monitor key local and international policy & legislative developments relating to the organization’s work to inform internal stakeholders and/or respond to Government requests.
  • Participate in national policy negotiations, forums, technical working groups and committees, on behalf of Fresh Life and advise on relevant strategic policy issues.
  • Develop and manage stakeholder relationships, consultations, and negotiations on policy issues of interest to identify and develop recommendations that support policy positions friendly to the organization.
  • Contribute to department-level planning within the Policy and Advocacy arm through regular assessments of department & organizational needs and requests from external teams.
  • Develop and maintain key data assets to inform the organization’s policy, advocacy, and government needs and engagements.
  • Support other areas of the department’s activities as needed

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree required bachelor’s degree in political science/public policy or relevant degree option
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working with policy and research, government sector
  • Intermediate level experience preparing data sets and data analysis and ability to read and interpret complex materials and perform data cleaning.
  • Strong understanding of databases, analytical tools, and concepts
  • Strong experience with Excel and use of data visualization is required
  • Must display an advanced level of skill in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills
