Descriptions;

The promulgation of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, introduced the devolved system of Government which resulted to the formation of the 47 Counties across the Country, Kakamega County being among them. Kakamega County is located in the western region of the country with an area of 3,051.3 square kilometers and an estimated population of 2,079,669 and density of 682. Administratively, it is divided into twelve sub counties, sixty wards, one hundred and eighty seven Village Units and four hundred Community Administrative Areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must:

  • have served in the grade of Chief Information Officer or a comparable and relevant position in the Public Service or Private sector for a minimum period of three (3) years; have a clear understanding of working of the media;
  • possess advanced computer application skills;
  • have attended a management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a
  • recognized Institution; and
  • have demonstrated professional and managerial competence in information work as reflected in work performance
