Who is Compassion International? Compassion International is a child-advocacy ministry that pairs compassionate people with those who are suffering from poverty. The Program Support Specialist – Youth (PSS-Y) provides subject matter expertise regarding holistic development and needs of our program beneficiaries (12+ years). This role will collaborate with other staff to ensure that our Frontline Church Partners are adequately informed and equipped to provide holistic development to youth. He/she will be responsible for supporting the implementation and regular review of Youth Development Strategy, National Youth Curriculum, Child Development Progress Measures and other youth-related program elements. This role will also identify funding needs of Youth Development and mobilize resources to meet those needs. He/she will coordinate and provide oversight to all youth-related interventions, collaborating with other staff to ensure quality implementation as well as monitoring and evaluation. In addition, the PSS-Y will identify, evaluate and recommend potential partnerships related to the holistic development of youth. He/she will be aware of current national statistics and trends related to youth. The PSS-Y will collect, review & analyze relevant information to determine the current state of Compassion-supported youth as it relates to the achievement of outcomes. Based on this review, he/she will recommend program improvement as well as take part in the support, equipping and training of our Church Partners.
